{"id":39958,"date":"2023-12-09T10:55:56","date_gmt":"2023-12-09T15:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=39958"},"modified":"2023-12-09T10:56:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-09T15:56:00","slug":"steve-tuzeneu-to-join-hall-communications-as-a-chief-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2023\/12\/09\/steve-tuzeneu-to-join-hall-communications-as-a-chief-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Steve Tuzeneu to Join Hall Communications as a Chief Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come January, radio veteran Steve Tuzeneu will begin a new role as a chief engineer for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hallradio.com\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hall Communications<\/a>, overseeing the radio group\u2019s Florida cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hall Communications\u2019 Florida headquarters in Lakeland houses four stations: 97.5 WPCV, MAX 98.3 FM, WLKF(AM) and WONN(AM). Overall, the group represents 21 stations across Florida, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"726\" height=\"484\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 726px) 100vw, 726px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Steve-Tuzeneu-with-ENCO-DAD-at-WIHS-726x484-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Steve-Tuzeneu-with-ENCO-DAD-at-WIHS-726x484-1.jpg 726w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Steve-Tuzeneu-with-ENCO-DAD-at-WIHS-726x484-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to joining Hall, Tuzeneu served as the general manager and chief engineer to WIHS(FM) in Middletown, Conn., from 2020 to 2023. His radio career began back in 1973, when he 15, working as a part-time, weekend announcer at WRLB(FM) \u2014 now known as WWZY(FM) \u2014 in Longbranch, N.J.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cMy favorite memory was my father driving me to the train station so I could get to Long Branch and walk to the radio station,\u201d Tuzeneu said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, he has worked as an announcer, operations manager, station manager, general manager, staff engineer, chief engineer and director of engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tuzeneu told Radio World he is \u201clooking forward to being the chief engineer for a company that treats its people like family.\u201d He also looks forward to a new set of engineering projects and technical challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his most recent role at WIHS, Tuzeneu upgraded all three of its studios from old, analog equipment to state-of-the-art, digital equipment.
