Senior&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fire.seu.edu\/roster.aspx?rp_id=2479\">Mario Perez<\/a>&nbsp;won the honor on the men&#8217;s side, and sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fire.seu.edu\/roster.aspx?rp_id=2305\">Julia Rohm<\/a>&nbsp;earned the honor on the women&#8217;s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"900\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image_handler-8-2.jpg?fit=1024%2C461&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4088\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image_handler-8-2.jpg?w=2000&amp;ssl=1 2000w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image_handler-8-2.jpg?resize=300%2C135&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image_handler-8-2.jpg?resize=768%2C346&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image_handler-8-2.jpg?resize=1024%2C461&amp;ssl=1 1024w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perez finished 69<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;overall in a field of 311 runners that featured 18 programs that were ranked or receiving votes, finishing his 8K with a time of 26:33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rohm finished 17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;overall with a time of 18:52. She led a Fire squad that finished fifth out of twenty-six teams in a field filled with ranked and receiving votes teams, and placed ahead of No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 9 Cornerstone, and No.13 Rocky Mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fire will race again in the Sun Conference Championships in Hardeeville, S.C. on November 9<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Southeastern University men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s cross-country teams earned recognition from the conference this week, as they swept The Sun Conference Runners of the Week honors.
