Registration is now open for couples wishing to join the 11th annual group wedding on Valentine\u2019s Day hosted by Polk County Clerk and Comptroller Stacy M. Butterfield on the steps of the Polk County History Center at 100 E. Main St. in Bartow.<\/p>\n\n\n

The free ceremony, to be held at noon, is limited to 30 couples and registration is first-come, first-served. Couples may register when applying for a marriage license at any of the three clerk\u2019s office locations: the Bartow Courthouse, Lakeland Government Center or Northeast Government Center in Lake Alfred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All couples must apply for a marriage license and register for the event by Feb. 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Couples must submit the first part of the marriage license application online before visiting any of the three clerk\u2019s offices to complete the application. Both individuals must be present to finalize their marriage license, and both must have a valid form of photo ID and know their Social Security numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clerk is waiving the $30 ceremony fee, but standard marriage license fees apply. The ceremony is followed by a light reception sponsored by Citizens Bank & Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
