The chicken restaurant market is arguably a big one. According to Ibis World, fast-food chicken restaurants brought in $59.4<\/a> billion in revenue in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floridians who want fried chicken can get it virtually anywhere – from the Publix deli to the Popeyes drive-through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now Floridians are getting (or have already gotten) new stores from an emerging chain that specializes in southern sides and buttermilk breading.<\/p>\n\n\n

About Slim Chickens: The Company says<\/a> its mission will always be to make the best hand-breaded chicken tenders using the freshest ingredients. They use a southern-style buttermilk<\/a> marinade and premium tenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They offer<\/a> sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, chicken and waffles, and “southern sides” such as fried okra, fried pickles, and macaroni and cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida Expansion: In 2023, the cities of Sarasota<\/a> and Wesley Chapel<\/a> got new stores. According to the company’s website, it currently has 13<\/a> locations throughout the state in cities like Panama City, Lakeland and Sarasota.<\/p>\n\n\n
