The Moccasins will hit the courts again on Saturday with an afternoon matchup against Nova Southeastern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=400%2C400&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2148\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=250%2C250&amp;ssl=1 250w\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/vetter_laura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Laura Vetter<\/a>&nbsp;earned a 6-3 first-set win over Romana Tavajova, but fell 6-3 in set two and 10-7 in the tiebreaker.&nbsp;<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/kim_minnie_7inm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minnie Kim<\/a>&nbsp;pulled out a three-set victory over Kseniya Zonsva, rebounding from a 6-4 loss in the first set with a 6-4 second set and a dominant 10-2 tiebreaker.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/stepnik_magda_5tot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Magda Stepnik<\/a>&nbsp;lost a nail-biter match, dropping a 7-6 (3) first set and 7-5 second set to Vivian Lai.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/asis_lola_xe5g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lola Asis<\/a>&nbsp;dominated in set one with a 6-2 first set, defeating Teona Velkoska after a close, 7-5 second set.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/vidgren_mathilda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mathilda Vidgren<\/a>&nbsp;rallied after a 7-6 (8) first-set loss against Sneha Sinha with a 7-6 (5) second set and a 10-7 tiebreaker to win her matchup.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wten\/2019-20\/bios\/hesse_gabby_5ru1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gabby Hesse<\/a>&nbsp;sealed the fourth singles win of the day for the Moccasins with a 7-6 (4) first set and a 6-3 second set against Manuela Barriga.<\/li><li>Kim and Vidgren fell 6-1 to Tavajova and Zonsva.<\/li><li>Vetter and Stepnik dropped a close, 6-4 match to Velkoska and Lai.<\/li><li>Barriga and Sinha finished the doubles sweep over the Mocs with a 6-3 victory over Asis and Hesse.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UP NEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Southern will take on conference rival Nova Southeastern at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Rec Courts in their next round-robin match.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Southern College women&#8217;s tennis won four of its six singles matchups against Division-I foe Southeast Missouri on Friday morning at the Stetson Rec Courts as the Moccasins competed in&hellip;
