Shoppers at over 20,000 Dollar General Stores will have access to the new payment method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This change has coincided with the company’s expansion of its health and wellness section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DG Wellbeing has grown its product selection and has taken up around 30% more selling space in stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This line is available at more than 7,000 stores and even in certain rural areas where access to over-the-counter medication and supplements may be less common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The store’s steps towards wellness have also made an impact on its produce and food section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dollar General recently also announced that it offered fresh produce in over 5,000 locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These stores also include other healthy food options like proteins, grains, and frozen fruits and vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dollar General opened up its 20,000th store in Alice, Texas last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The retailer and its senior leaders held a grand opening celebration to mark the milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dollar General’s executive vice president of store operations and development, Steve Deckard shared his thoughts on the historic day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Today marks an incredible milestone in Dollar General\u2019s history,” Deckard said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
