Students will also find answers to frequently asked questions about topics including the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT), paying for college and financial aid, establishing Florida residency, submitting transcripts, and more online. Students are encouraged to begin the financial aid process as early as possible. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/a>. Assistance completing the FAFSA is available through the Office of Student Financial Services<\/a>, which holds FAFSA workshops on the Winter Haven and Lakeland campuses, as well as at the Polk State JD Alexander Center in Lake Wales.
