A quick assessment determined that both occupants had self-extricated. PCFR crews worked quickly getting water on the fire, and then firefighting foam was used to extinguish the fuel-fed fire completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDue to quick thinking by the pilot, serious injuries were avoided as the aircraft crashed into an open field without endangering any structures or persons in the area,\u201d said Fire Chief Hezedean A.
