DeSantis signs 3 bills into law to combat illegal immigration\"><\/iframe><\/div>                        <\/div>\n\n                                            <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    \n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DeSantis then began speaking about Florida bills that he was there to sign into law to combat illegal immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then brought up&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2024\/1589\">House Bill 1589<\/a>, which refuses driver\u2019s licenses to illegal immigrants while ignoring driver\u2019s licenses from states outside of Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2024\/1036\">Senate Bill 1036<\/a>&nbsp;will enhance the penalty committed by an illegal immigrant to a felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2024\/01551\/\">House Bill 1551<\/a>&nbsp;will require each applicant for the Florida State Guard to submit fingerprints to the Division of State Guard or a certain vendor, entity or agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then spoke about combating the Mexican cartel, calling them foreign terrorist organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey are importing products into our country that are killing tens of thousands of people,\u201d said DeSantis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then called for an increased deployment of coast guards to combat the influx of illegal immigrants to Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DeSantis said the Floridian Coast Guard had stopped over 600 vessels carrying 13,500 migrants and returned to where they originated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then announced the authorization to increase officer presence in several state agencies, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DeSantis then concluded the press conference by signing the three bills into law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Gov.
