The Lakeland Police Department is looking for eager and excited teens who are interested in a career in law enforcement to participate in a one-week, hands-on course for young people. This highly interactive program, taught by Lakeland Police Officers, allows high school students to see and experience what it’s like to work in law enforcement. Spots are limited, so sign up today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academy Dates:<\/strong> JULY 22 \u2013 26, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Times:<\/strong> 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location:<\/strong> LakelandPD Training Center<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost:<\/strong> FREE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Academy Shirts and Lunch Provided<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Must be at least 16 years of age and going into the 11th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

grade, 12th grade, or just graduated.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 No Arrests<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 No out-of-school suspensions in the last year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Must maintain a \u201cC\u201d average or better<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Must be willing to participate in all activities (Academic and Physical)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Must be interested in a career in law enforcement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Receive parental or legal guardian approval<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
