FHP believe that\nthe 1995 Dodge Dakota was traveling southbound on US-301, south of Gould Road,\nand struck Leon Gilbert-Bailey who was walking along the west shoulder of the\nhighway. Post-impact unknown vehicle that fled the scene of the crash traveling\nsouthbound on US-301. Transported to an area hospital, Gilbert-Bailey later\nexpired from injuries sustained during the crash. Unknown vehicle is expected\nto have damage to the right front of the vehicle, right headlamp assembly,\nengine hood, windshield and A-pillar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Owner of vehicle has not been found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone with information is asked to contact the FHP by\ncalling 813 -558-1800, *FHP (*347), or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FHP states paint chips match from scene.
