Troopers say Javaid lost control of his Jaguar, crossing the median into oncoming traffic moments before the collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Javaid was thrown from his car while two women in an overturned Honda Element suffered what FHP calls &#8220;life-altering injuries.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"932\" height=\"470\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/2006-DUI-Crash.webp?resize=932%2C470&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44284\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Javaid&nbsp;was set to stand trial in 2008, according to FHP, but he left the country and wasn&#8217;t caught until May 2023, when he flew into Orlando International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On April 5, a jury found Javaid&nbsp;guilty of two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury.
