Easton Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning Monday April 22, 2024, contractors for the City of Lakeland will be working on Easton Drive from Cambridge Avenue to Fairmont Avenue. Through traffic will be detoured to Lake Hollingsworth Drive while work is being performed. One lane will be left open for residents to get to their homes. This work is being done to address a recurring drainage problem with the brick street getting washed out during heavy rain events. The work is expected to take up to four weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n

East Orange Street & East Main Street<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning Wednesday May 1, 2024, contractors will be resurfacing Orange Street and East Main Street from South Lake Avenue to Bartow Road. The project will start with prepping the roadway by milling the asphalt and repaving will be completed on May 3, 2024. The road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be in place. The road will be open to residents and businesses.  Flaggers will be in place to assist with vehicle movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These projects will be performed during the daytime hours to least impact the residential area. Vehicular traffic will be limited while the contractor is working. During these projects, traffic control signs will be in place and flagmen will be there to assists motorists. Delays can be expected, and motorist are encouraged to use an alternative route if possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
