Next week, Senator Rick Scott, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State Passport Services, will host two events to assist Floridians in applying for passport services on\u00a0Thursday, June 13, 2024, and Friday, June 14, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at two locations in the Orlando area. These events are open to everyone, and the deadline to register is Thursday,\u00a0June 6, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senator Rick Scott <\/strong>said, \u201cBringing essential federal services, like passport assistance, directly to our communities is a big part of our fight to make Washington work for Florida families. I urge all interested Floridians in the Orlando area to take advantage of this great opportunity on June 13th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup>, but please note that space is limited, and you must register by Thursday, June 6, 2024, to participate in this great event. I know renewing and applying for passports has been a very stressful process for families in the Sunshine State during recent years. I won\u2019t stop fighting to make sure that the State Department and Postal Service continue working every day to help Floridians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passport Specialists with the U.S. Department of State will accept applications for Routine Service (6-8 weeks)<\/strong> and Expedited Service (2-3 weeks)<\/strong>. Completed applications will be returned by mail. An appointment is required to submit your application during this event. Appointment slots are limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Incomplete requests will not be processed. If the appointment request is accepted, the constituent will receive an email detailing your appointment confirmation within 1-2 business days. The deadline to select an appointment is 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 6th<\/sup>, 2024. For information on passport application requirements, please visit travel.state.gov\/passport<\/a><\/u>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
