Avelo Airlines takes off today with exclusive nonstop service between Florida\u2019s Lakeland International Airport (LAL) and Southern Connecticut\u2019s most convenient airport \u2013 Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN). Avelo is the first and only airline offering nonstop service between Lakeland and Connecticut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando, LAL offers travelers a refreshingly small, easy, and fast alternative hometown airport experience to the much larger and busier airports in the region. LAL\u2019s location along the I-4 corridor makes it the most travel-friendly gateway to and from Central Florida. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo Customers traveling between LAL and HVN today were greeted with celebration and fanfare, including a water cannon salute, Detroit Tigers and Legoland mascots, sweet treats and Avelo Airlines representatives on both nearly full inbound and outbound inaugural flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
