\n\nThe Fire placed four players on the All-Sun Conference volleyball teams, and had players honored for their academic success, as well as their actions off the volleyball court.

Seniors Taylor Gregory<\/a> and Emily Kalmink<\/a>, and junior Emily Boehlein<\/a> were selected First Team All-Sun Conference with senior Sarah Castillo<\/a> named Second Team All-Sun Conference.

Boehlein is a first team honoree for the second year in a row, ranking sixth in The Sun Conference in hitting percentage at .251 and was fourth in blocking with 89 total at .83 per set. The junior from Gainesville totaled 282 total kills and averaged 2.64 per set.

Kalmink and Gregory were both second team honorees last season. They finished second and third, respectively in the conference in blocking. Kalmink, a native of Byron Center, Mich., totaled 88 blocks and averaged one per set. Additionally, Kalmink finished third in the conference in overall hitting percentage at .301, and hit .358 against conference opponents.

Between her two years at Southeastern and two seasons at Johnson & Wales (R.I.), Kalmink is a four-year all-conference performer.

Gregory, a Wellington, Fla. native, totaled 90 blocks in 107 sets for an average of .8. She also registered 194 kills and a .276 attacking percentage. She hit 40 points higher against conference opponents, and averaged 1.89 kills per set in conference play.

Castillo finished second in the conference in total assists behind the national leader. Castillo totaled 914 total kills, the most by an SEU player in the past five seasons. The Miami native averaged 8.8 assists per set against conference opponents.

For the second consecutive season, Hannah Kaszubowski<\/a> was named the Champion of Character Award winner. The junior from Sebring has led mission trips to Panama and Costa Rica, and also helped found the Athletic Bible Study on campus. She volunteers with Parker Street Ministries, serving the Lakeland community and also served as a team captain this season.

This marks the fifth-straight year the Fire have had the Champion of Character in volleyball and sixth time in the last seven years.

Six student-athletes were named to the Academic All-Sun Conference team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in their sophomore year of eligibility with a minimum cumulative 3.5 grade point average, and have completed two semesters at their institution. Morgan Swanger<\/a>, Jordyn Stiger<\/a>, and Courtney Krause<\/a> joined Boehlein, Gregory, and Kaszubowski on the list.
