(Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office)<br><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joseph Everett, 27, resigned from his position after two years with the sheriff\u2019s office following his DUI arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everett admitted to drinking three coffee mugs of whiskey the previous night after his supervisor noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath, according to PCSO. He was accused of exhibiting signs of impairment while completing a field sobriety test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0\u201cAnytime someone chooses to drive under the influence of alcohol, it shows a lack of good judgment,\u201d Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement. \u201cIf you lack the proper judgment when it comes to drinking and driving, you have no business working in law enforcement.
