More than 50,000 attended last year\u2019s\u00a0Lake Mirror Classic Concours\u00a0&\u00a0Car Show, and this year’s 25th-anniversary edition\u00a0is set to be even \u201cbigger and better,\u201d according to event director Robert D\u2019Angelo. He gave some good reasons to back up that\u00a0claim.<\/p>\n\n\n

At least 10 automobile museums will participate, including The Brumos Collection, The Collection on Palmetto, Dezerland Park Orlando, Lane Motor Museum, Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, Revs Institute, Sarasota Classic Car Museum, Sebring Hall of Fame and Tampa Bay Automobile\u00a0Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, organizers plan to host 200 concour vehicles, plus vintage\u00a0wooden boats, Amphicars, and antique bicycles. There will be 500 show vehicles for the Saturday open car show, 150 for Friday\u2019s \u201cVisit Central Florida\u2013Hot Rod Rendevous\u201d and 100 for Sunday\u2019s Road\u00a0Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n

This year\u2019s featured marques are Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz, and there will be more than 100 years of automotive history on hand for both. For example, expect to see a display of Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable guests include Bill Warner, founder of The Amelia Concours d\u2019Elegance, and\u00a0GM\u00a0designer Kip Wasenko, who will also serve as the event\u2019s grand\u00a0marshal.<\/p>\n\n\n
