The high-scoring Polk State Eagles hit the century mark again today with a 100-80 win over Indian River State College in Winter Haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the victory the Eagles improve to 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re off to a great start but we aren\u2019t satisfied,\u201d said Head Coach Brandon Giles.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have to continue to play with a high level of defensive intensity because it\u2019s really starting to pay off offensively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tekorian \u201cTK\u201d Smith led all scorers with 25 points. He shot 5-for-10 on three-pointers and went 6-for-6 at the free throw line. He also had a pair of rebounds and five assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really proud of Tekorian Smith for responding and carrying the team when needed on both ends of the court,\u201d said Giles. \u201cHe stepped up and made big-time plays when he was supposed to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDJ Molden and VannAubrey Thomas also were great for us today. They both shot the ball well. Dejan Ilinic also stepped in and made big-time plays and rebounded as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas finished with 14 points and two rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Derrick \u201cDJ\u201d Molden scored 14 points and grabbed three rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Janiel Romer Rosario and Malcolm Stevenson each had nine points, while Ilinic scored eight and had three rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
