{"id":48125,"date":"2024-07-25T13:42:15","date_gmt":"2024-07-25T17:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=48125"},"modified":"2024-07-25T13:42:21","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T17:42:21","slug":"rapper-arrested-in-polk-county-for-marijuana-possession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2024\/07\/25\/rapper-arrested-in-polk-county-for-marijuana-possession\/","title":{"rendered":"Rapper arrested in Polk County for marijuana possession"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A rapper was arrested after he was pulled over for a traffic stop in Polk County Wednesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-dominant-color=\"7e7469\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #7e7469;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"209\" height=\"280\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-58.png?resize=209%2C280&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48126 not-transparent\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said they stopped a car traveling between 80 and 90 mph on Highway 60 near West Lake Wales Road around 10 p.m. on July 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trooper checked the license of the driver, 34-year-old Brice Chaney, and found that it was suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to FHP, troopers then searched Chaney&#8217;s vehicle and said they located 20 grams of cannabis in his vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaney allegedly told the trooper that he was not selling the drugs and that they were for recreational use only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FHP said that when he was asked where he gets his drugs, he stated that &#8220;he is a rapper, and a lot of people give me stuff.&#8221; According to officials, he goes by the stage name Chaney B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaney was arrested for driving while a license-suspended habitual offender and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A rapper was arrested after he was pulled over for a traffic stop in Polk County Wednesday night.
