<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nKimberly Hermann is known as \u201cMama Bear, wife, Conservative lawyer, and commentator\u201d on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, which is now simply known as X.\u00a0In a post some time ago she declared that \u201cschools are turning our kids into soldiers for the progressive army.\u201d\u00a0In a new interview with Rebecca Weber, CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens and host of AMAC\u2019s\u00a0Better For America podcast, Kimberly took aim at the \u201cconcept of gender ideology.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kimberly is Executive Director of the Southeastern Legal Foundation and she, along with AMAC, will be joining\u00a0Moms for Liberty\u00a0on August 31st in Washington, D.C., for the first March for Kids. The march aims to \u201craise awareness about the decline of our educational system and the erosion of parental rights in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some 50 years ago Congress passed a law known as Title IX. It\u2019s a plain and simple law, just about 37 words long. It states that, boys and girls have an equal opportunity when it comes to education. \u201cA lot of people think of it as a sports law, but it really applies to all educational opportunities,\u201d Kimberly explained. \u201cBack in the 70s, there were a lot of girls that couldn\u2019t go to graduate programs. And, for some odd years, we\u2019ve had the same exact law and the Biden administration couldn\u2019t change that law. Instead, they had the Department of Education change the definition of sex. So Title IX says you cannot discriminate on the basis of sex in education. And they changed what sex means. It no longer means a boy and a girl. It now means gender ideology. And so they have fundamentally changed what Title IX does. It no longer protects our girls. It no longer ensures that they have equal opportunity to graduate programs, to sports programs, to anything. It no longer means they can protect themselves in locker rooms. They no longer have their own locker rooms or bathrooms. Anyone can go into any space, depending on what gender ideology they are that day. It\u2019s a very dangerous proposal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Kimberly explained it, \u201cthey couldn\u2019t change the law. Instead, they came in and changed the definition of sex. Kimberly went on to compare it to the ideals of Communism, noting that she doesn\u2019t \u201cknow what\u2019s in these people\u2019s hearts and what\u2019s in their minds; all that we can really see is that this goes back to Marxist ideals … it tears apart families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
