With just under four minutes to play in the first quarter, Jenike made a pull-up jumper to give the Mocs their first lead of the game, 7-6. The Mocs then went on a 7-0 run, taking advantage of three offensive rebounds during that stretch. The Mocs would lead 14-10 after the first ten minutes of play.<\/li><li><strong>2nd Quarter |<\/strong>&nbsp;As the second stanza began, the Eagles went on a small run of their own, leading by as many as five with 7:28 to play. Then Shell made a layup, followed by a pair of Jenike free throws, and suddenly the Mocs were down only one. With 2:42 to go, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fscmocs.com\/sports\/wbkb\/2019-20\/bios\/wroblewska_sara_cyub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sara Wroblewska<\/a>&nbsp;steal led directly to a fast-break three pointer for Jenike, and suddenly the Mocs took the lead at 25-23. It was a lead Southern would not relinquish again. Sophomore guard&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fscmocs.com\/sports\/wbkb\/2019-20\/bios\/steele_mackenzie_qvyc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mackenzie Steele<\/a>&nbsp;would wrap up the scoring in the half, making a pull-up jumper from the right wing, off an Eagles turnover.<\/li><li><strong>3rd Quarter |<\/strong>&nbsp;The Moccasins opened the third quarter in strong fashion, pushing the lead to as many as seven points on a layup from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fscmocs.com\/sports\/wbkb\/2019-20\/bios\/pazzaglia-khomenko_katerina_ho1a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pazzaglia-Khomenko<\/a>&nbsp;at the 8:40 mark. Minutes later, the lead would extend to double digits at 39-29, as Jenike grabbed another FSC offensive rebound and made the put back basket. However, the Mocs would go cold offensively, with the Eages going on an 8-0 run over the next four minutes to make the game a two-point contest. But once again, Jenike would come to the rescue, nailing a step-back jumper from the top of the key to stem the ERAU run and give a boost of confidence to the Red and White. After three, FSC led, 42-38.<\/li><li><strong>4th Quarter |<\/strong>&nbsp;Sophomore guard&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fscmocs.com\/sports\/wbkb\/2019-20\/bios\/kalaydjiev_bekki_076q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bekki Kalaydjiev<\/a>&nbsp;would push the lead back to six with a jumper with 7:54 to play. The Moc defense continued to shine, holding Embry-Riddle scoreless for a three minute span, as the lead swelled to as many as ten, on a jumper by senior point guard&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/wbkb\/2019-20\/bios\/landberg_elsa_2tvx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elsa Landberg<\/a>.&nbsp; The Eagles would manage only five points over the final 6:4 of the game, as the Mocs won by a 65-49 score.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INSIDE THE NUMBERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Mocs have traded wins and losses so far this season, and are now 3-2 on the season.<\/li><li>Jenike had the hot hand all night, making seven of her 14 shots (50%), including two of her five three-point attempts.<\/li><li>Shell&#8217;s 11 points came on four-of-five shooting from the floor, and three-of-four free throws.<\/li><li>The Mocs won the battle of the boards, 32-31, including 11 offensive rebounds.<\/li><li>Southern had 14 steals on the night, led by Kalaydjiev&#8217;s six.<\/li><li>After four consecutive home games, tonight was the first road contest of the season for Florida Southern.<\/li><li>FSC has now beaten ERAU seven of their 11 all-time meetings.
