WHERE:           140 Lake Morton Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHY:               Broken Sewer Pipe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of Lakeland Wastewater Division is working on a sanitary sewer emergency repair on the south side of Lake Morton at 140 Lake Morton Drive between South Boulevard and Orange Park Avenue.\u00a0 The impacted area of Lake Morton Drive is closed so crews can access the broken sewer pipe.\u00a0 Much of the sewer system in the Lake Morton area is older clay pipe.\u00a0 Detours with signage are in place directing vehicle traffic around the construction area.\u00a0 The rain-saturated ground is causing the project to last longer than anticipated.\u00a0\u00a0Repairs of the line break will be completed Friday morning, September 20, 2024. The impacted section of Lake Morton Drive will remain closed overnight. \u00a0Homeowners on Lake Morton Drive have access to their property although some may have to use the established detours around the project.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
