Host Florida Tech is in second place with 206.5 points, while Rollins College is in third place with 76 points. The three-team field will compete again tomorrow and Sunday, completing the three-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preliminary heats began at 10:00 a.m., with the finals starting at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the opening 200 freestyle relay, the Mocs &#8220;A&#8221; relay of juniors&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_carlos_pl6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlos Bernotti<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/dyck_brandon_530q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brandon Dyck<\/a>, sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/saslo_jj_x2ue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JJ Saslo<\/a>, and senior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/hamilton_talor_2jrp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Talor Hamilton<\/a>&nbsp;claimed the max 20 points, by winning the event in 1:23.08. The &#8220;B&#8221; Relay of sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/oliva_ethan_kss6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ethan Oliva<\/a>, juniors&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_miguel_iriu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miguel Bernotti<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/lopez_matias_4qjn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matias Lopez<\/a>, and sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/tuckerman_jacob_orhh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jacob Tuckerman<\/a>&nbsp;placed seventh, earning eight points.<\/li><li>The first individual event was the 500-free, where freshman&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/prostran_luka_jms4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luka Prostran<\/a>&nbsp;and Lopez finished one-two, earning 18 points. Prostran posted a time of 4:32.01, while Lopez finished less than a second later, in 4:32.97. Sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/smith_cole_etda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cole Smith<\/a>&nbsp;took fifth in the same event, while senior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/rodriguez_daniel_011c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daniel Rodriguez<\/a>&nbsp;placed eighth.<\/li><li>Lopez then won the 200-individual medley, in 1:51.89, over a full second better than the next closest finisher.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_miguel_iriu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miguel Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;finished fourth, with sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/peristeridis_theo_akvi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Theo Peristeridis<\/a>&nbsp;in sixth and junior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_pedro_zeed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pedro Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;eighth.<\/li><li>In the 50-yard sprint, Hamilton and Saslo placed second and third, in 20.76 and 21.21 seconds, respectively.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_carlos_pl6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlos Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;tied for fifth place, with Dyck a shade behind in seventh place.<\/li><li>Closing the evening was the 400-medley relay, where the &#8220;A&#8221; Team of Dyck, Lopez,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_miguel_iriu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miguel Bernotti<\/a>, and Hamilton claimed second place in 3:21.61. The &#8220;B&#8221; relay of Tuckerman,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_pedro_zeed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pedro Bernotti<\/a>, Saslo, and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_carlos_pl6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlos Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;took fourth place.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INSIDE THE NUMBERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the individual events, Lopez led all Mocs by earning 18 points, winning one event while placing second in another. Prostran was the second individual winner, earning ten points on the night.<\/li><li>Hamilton earned eight points, while Saslo claimed seven,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_miguel_iriu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miguel Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;six, Smith five,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_carlos_pl6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlos Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;4.5, Peristeridis four, Dyck three, and Rodriguez and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_pedro_zeed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pedro Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;two apiece.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UP NEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Day Two of the three-day event will take place on Saturday, November 23.
