A majority of Polk County\u2019s more than 100 parks and boat ramps are set to reopen Tuesday, Oct. 15. If a Polk County park or boat ramp is not listed below, it will reopen tomorrow, although there may be facilities within the parks that are closed for repairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The following locations will reopen Wednesday, Oct. 16:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Johnny and Freida Brooks Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Mary Norma Campbell Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Medulla Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Wabash Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Wilfred Smith Resource Center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The following locations will open on Friday, Oct. 18:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Coleman Landing Campground<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lake Arbuckle Campground<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lake Hatchineha Campground<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lake Rosalie Campground<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Saddle Creek Campground<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The following locations are closed indefinitely:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Bone Valley ATV Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Circle B Bar Reserve<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Gator Creek Reserve<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Highland City Senior Field (Strickland Pit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Homeland Heritage Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Lake Hancock Boat Ramp<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Lakeland Highland Scrub<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Loyce E. Harpe Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Panther Point Trail<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Peace River Canoe Launch<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Peace River Hammock<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Rolling Hills Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Sherwood L. Stokes Preserve<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Walker Road Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • All Stormwater Sites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Additionally, access to Simmers-Young Park will be from American Spirit Boulevard only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Polk County officials will be in contact with youth and adult leagues to discuss resuming league games and practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
