Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan said she was in contact with Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters about the incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m aware of several disturbing videos circulating from [Saturday\u2019s] game,\u201d Deegan said&nbsp;on X.&nbsp;\u201cWe are awaiting the outcome of that investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019m aware of several disturbing videos circulating from yesterday\u2019s game. I have spoken to Sheriff Waters and the incidents are under investigation. The deputy is then seen punching the man repeatedly in the head, leaving him bloodied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">And another. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/E3W7CrMwIz\">pic.twitter.com\/E3W7CrMwIz<\/a><\/p>&mdash; John M. Phillips (@JohnPhillips) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JohnPhillips\/status\/1852907859421319361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 3, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s unclear what caused the altercations, but the person who shot the first video, Jeff Daniel Clark, said one of the fans was \u201cunruly\u201d and \u201cdid not comply\u201d with deputies, who were attempting to remove him from the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sheriff\u2019s office did not comment on the actions of its deputies in a statement released Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s Professional Standards Division is aware of the videos circulating from the Georgia-Florida football game. Administrative reviews of the incidents are being opened,\u201d reads the statement. \u201cAs such, the agency will not comment until all facts are known and the reviews have been completed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We reached out to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office for further comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOnce all of the available information has been derived and the investigation has been completed, the original statement continues to be our posture,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office responded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Disturbing videos captured Saturday at a college football game show Florida deputies repeatedly punching fans in the stands.
