If the Florida Tropics are to extend their current team-best\nfour-game win streak, they’ll have to do it against one of the best in the\nMajor Arena Soccer League this Saturday at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.\nThe Baltimore Blast will be in town for a 5:05 p.m. start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baltimore has 10 championships since first introducing the\nsport to the Charm City for the 1980-81 Major Indoor Soccer League season.\nBaltimore has field a pro indoor soccer team ever since, and this is their 39th\nseason of play. While Milwaukee is the defending league champions, the Blast\nwon the three MASL crowns prior to that (2016, 2017, 2018). Their first title\ncame in 1983-84. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida comes in at 4-0, one of only two undefeated teams in\nthe league, and atop the Eastern Conference standings. Newcomer Ricardo\nCarvalho \u2013 ninth in the MASL in goals last season \u2013 is the Tropics leading\nscorer so far this season with five goals and five assists, good for 5th\noverall in the league this year in total points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran Vini Dantas is pacing the Baltimore attack, with\nnine goals and three assists, including a five goal outburst in a 14-5 home win\nagainst Orlando, who Florida has defeated in three of their first four starts.\nThe fourth win was an epic OT triumph on the road against the champion Wave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
