Avelo Airlines will stop providing two routes out of Lakeland Linder airport next year: Atlanta and Hartford, Connecticut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kris Hallstrand, the airport director, told city officials at Friday’s project update meeting that Avelo will stop flying between Lakeland and Atlanta as of Jan. 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What’s happening here is they are re-evaluating their network and the routes that are working good are being kept, the routes that are not doing so hot are going away,” Hallstrand said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second underperforming route is between Lakeland Linder and Hartford, Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport (code BDL), which started on Nov. 8 with tickets priced at $72 each way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There is a lot going on in the aviation industry and Hartford, Connecticut, is under performing,” Hallstrand said. “New Haven has stayed very strong.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
