A silver Ford Explorer was rear-ended by a black Nissan Altima driven by Martinez Trejo. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the collision, Martinez Trejo exited his vehicle and attempted to leave the scene on foot. However, a passenger from one of the involved vehicles pursued him and brought him back to the crash site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies arriving at the scene observed signs of impairment in Martinez Trejo, including the smell of alcohol on his breath, bloodshot and watery eyes, and difficulty standing. Further investigation revealed that the license plate on his Nissan Altima was not assigned to the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Martinez Trejo was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail, where he was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DUI with Injury<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DUI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Injury<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attaching an Unassigned Tag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed that Martinez Trejo is an illegal immigrant from Honduras.
