A major FDOT construction project on SR 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard) is currently underway from Parkview Place to north of Granada Street, making it a little different this year for motorists traveling to Detroit Tiger\u2019s Spring Training home games.<\/p>\n\n\n

As part of construction, Lakeland Hills Boulevard has been reduced to one lane in each direction with limited left turn lanes while crews work on underground systems on the east side of the roadway. Traffic is now shifted to the west side of the roadway.<\/p>\n\n\n

In an effort to keep traffic moving as efficiently as possible during the games, the City of Lakeland Traffic Operations will be monitoring traffic and manually operating the traffic signals through their traffic monitoring center.
