Paratransit operator Barbara Rogers hung up the keys for the last time today after 41 years of moving the residents of Polk County. In <\/a>over four decades of service, she has transported generations of passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n

The numbers are staggering. She has dedicated 4.1 decades, or 2,147 weeks, or 493 months or 15,034 days as a public servant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since she will no longer be in the bus, we made sure to honor her by putting her image and her accomplishment on the side of a bus. In addition, Lakeland Mayor William Mutz presented our transit hero with the Key to the City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
