Since then, LAL has become a base for the airline and flew 46,000+ passengers in 2024. Avelo currently offers six routes, plus a new Nashville flight beginning on Thursday, March 6 \u2014 and CEO Andrew Levy\u00a0says\u00a0that number could continue to grow.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All good things must come to an end, including LAL\u2019s free parking. Assistant Airport Director Adam Lunn&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LakelandAirport\/videos\/535464198892495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shared&nbsp;<\/a>that the airport is \u201cgoing to keep costs extremely low,\u201d and, you can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lkldnow.com\/fliers-will-soon-pay-to-park-at-lakeland-airport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expect&nbsp;<\/a>that cost to be up to $10 per day.&nbsp;Pro tip:&nbsp;If you\u2019re visiting Sora Eatery or staying for less than four hours, parking will remain free.<br><br>In the City Commission meeting, Airport Director Kris Hallstrand said they\u2019re expecting to wrap up the project by early summer, just in time for those&nbsp;vacations&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lakeland City Commission&nbsp;approved&nbsp;$1.15 million in parking improvements for Lakeland International Airport.
