An assistant principal of a middle school in Poinciana has been arrested by the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office after she behaved inappropriately with a 13-year old male <\/a>student.<\/p>\n\n\n

53-year old Dr. Keiva Lark has been charged with Lewd\/Lascivious Conduct (F2) and Lewd Offense against a Student by an Authority Figure (F2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation began on April 4, 2025, after the principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School (3055 Lake Marion Creek Drive in Poinciana) reported the incident to the PCSO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polk County School Board and the Florida Department of Children and Families were also notified, and Dr. Lark was placed on administrative leave, pending the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred after the victim was sent to Lark\u2019s office due to the student throwing balled-up paper across the classroom during a test. While in the office, according to two witnesses and the victim, Lark told the victim to rub her feet, since he didn\u2019t have anything better to do with his hands. She removed her shoes and placed her legs across the victim\u2019s lap, and he did as he was told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lark was heard scolding the boy for not rubbing her feet correctly, and demonstrated how she would prefer to be massaged, by rubbing the child\u2019s arm and shoulder. A co-worker\/witness heard Lark tell the student to rub her feet like he loved her. A witness also heard Lark tell the victim that she was doing this so he would know what foreplay is for when he gets a girlfriend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A witness told detectives that Lark, several days later, told the witness that she, Lark, \u201ccrossed the line\u201d during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a forensic interview with the victim, he said that Lark has referred to him as \u201cSexy Chocolate\u201d while passing him in the hallway at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDr. Lark initially told detectives that this was only a joke, and that she was just trying to humble the victim. It\u2019s completely inappropriate for a 53-year old woman to act and talk like this to a middle school boy. It\u2019s even worse given that this was an assistant principal and her student.\u201d \u2013 Grady Judd, Sheriff<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Lark later admitted that her actions were inappropriate for her profession, but she denied saying anything inappropriate to the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is abhorrent behavior for anyone who works among students, especially an administrator. This person no longer has any business being around children.
