The Mr. George Community Service Award annually recognizes associates who have continued his legacy of giving back. Since 1995, 159 associates have received this prestigious honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGeorge Jenkins believed that for a company to be successful, it needs to be involved in the communities it serves,\u201d said Publix CEO Kevin Murphy. \u201cI\u2019m proud of our associates for carrying on his legacy of giving back through their dedication to improving their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the award<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each year, one associate from each retail division and one support associate are recognized with the award.
