With very few American homes having bidets, toilet paper rolls are of utmost necessity, and consumers have a variety of preferences between two-ply and three-ply rolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the major toilet paper roll manufacturers in the United States has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.<\/p>\n\n\n

Royal Paper has been the “trusted manufacturer of Private Label, Retail Brands and Away-from-Home Brands” for nearly thirty years, as they try to bridge the gap between sustainability and customer needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are a third-party manufacturer for several grocery chains, including Aldi, and produce their own lines of toilet paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We produce bath tissue, paper towels, facial tissue, and napkins for those who demand sustainability, flexibility, competitive pricing, and uncompromising quality,” their website stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some grocery stores carry Royal’s proven retail brands like SuperSoft, Earth First, and EcoFirst, other chains often work with Royal Paper to “create their own private label brand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Whichever you choose, you can rest assured knowing you\u2019ll be getting the products you need in the configurations your customers demand,” Royal Paper said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While these brands are not as widely popular as Charmin or Angel Soft, they have a very broad reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Just because we are committed to sustainability in everything we do, does not mean we lose sight of what\u2019s important to you \u2013 product performance, reliability, and flexibility. In fact, we take great pride in our 98% on-time delivery record and ability to work with our partners to provide a wide range of package sizes and cost structures,” the company said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it has filed for bankruptcy, a new owner may help change its fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal Paper has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement with Sofidel America Corp., where the latter will acquire all of Royal Paper’s assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, Royal Paper said: “To facilitate the transaction, Royal has filed for voluntary protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. This action is expected to provide for a quick and orderly sale of the company’s assets under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, with Sofidel serving as the ‘stalking horse bidder’ in a court-supervised auction and sale process.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite filing for bankruptcy, Royal Paper will continue operating as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Royal has received a commitment for debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing from its existing secured lenders to support the business through the sale process. The company intends to pay vendors, suppliers, and other trade creditors in full under normal terms for goods and services provided during the bankruptcy case,” they assured.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
