he City of Lakeland will begin resurfacing work on E. Main Street from S. Florida Avenue to S. Massachusetts Avenue as part of its ongoing road maintenance efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Milling operations<\/strong>\u00a0will begin\u00a0Thursday, June 12 at 10:00 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0and continue through\u00a0Friday, June 13 at 7:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Paving<\/strong>\u00a0is scheduled to start on\u00a0Sunday, June 15 at 10:00 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0and conclude by\u00a0Monday, June 16 at 7:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The resurfacing process will remove approximately 1.5 inches of existing asphalt and replace it with a new layer of the same thickness. This maintains current road elevation and ensures smooth transitions at driveways and ADA ramps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Work will take place overnight<\/strong> to minimize traffic disruptions. Roads will be reopened to through traffic during the day. However, motorists should expect lane closures and brief delays. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane and managed by on-site flaggers. On-street parking will be prohibited during work hours. Please note: The schedule may change due to weather or equipment issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
