I write to formally demand that you immediately restore access<\/strong> to all citizens who have been blocked from your official social media accounts<\/strong>. These accounts are used to announce government activities and policies, making them designated public forums<\/strong> under the law. Blocking users from these forums based on their viewpoints is a clear violation of the First Amendment<\/strong> to the United States Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n

Legal Precedent and Constitutional Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens who respectfully expressed disagreement with your policies\u2014particularly related to animal welfare\u2014have been silenced. This is not only unethical, it is unconstitutional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federal courts have ruled that when elected officials use social media to conduct official business, the First Amendment prohibits them from excluding users<\/strong> based on viewpoint. Even if an account is labeled \u201cpersonal,\u201d if it is used for public communication, it becomes subject to constitutional constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As public officials, you are constitutionally obligated<\/strong> to maintain accessible and transparent<\/strong> communications. Systematically blocking constituents from your pages based on their opinions is a violation of public trust<\/strong> and directly contradicts democratic principles. It also prevents civic engagement<\/strong>, undermining the very role of public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We respectfully request that you restore access to any citizens currently blocked from your official communications channels. We will continue to pursue remedies under the law if this issue is not corrected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
