<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThe new facility opened June 2 at 1350 E. Main St, Building A, Suite 5. It offers \u201ca convenient solution for families with children,\u201d according to a CFHC news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pediatrics Health Center is also within walking distance of the Bartow Primary Health Center, which offers medical services to adults and the adult facility also contains a pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to primary pediatric care, the new Bartow facility offers well baby and child visits, school and sports physicals, immunizations, flu shots and same-day sick visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We’re excited that we can now provide pediatric care to children in Bartow and the surrounding area,” CFHC CEO Ann Claussen said. “Plus, it’s very close to our Bartow Primary Care Health Center for adults where parents can easily pick up a prescription for their child from our brand-new pharmacy.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CFHC acquired Children\u2019s Medical Center from Dr. Ricardo Arguello, who recently retired. The new Bartow Pediatric Health Center will soon welcome Dr. Jessica Lopez Phelps, a board-certified pediatrician with 20 years of experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are also very honored that Dr. Arguello trusted us with his pediatric patients, and we’ll make sure they are taken care of,” Claussen added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCentral Florida Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center, is experiencing a surge in patients, and this new health center is an exciting step in our expansion of services,\u201d the release said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year, Central Florida Health Care served about 80,000 patients throughout its health centers in Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties. Patients made more than 250,000 visits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CFHC accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most insurances and helps the uninsured and underinsured by offering a sliding fee scale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
