The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art<\/a> has named Daryl Ward its interim executive director.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ward is the executive director of the Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance<\/a>. He will continue in that role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ward\u2019s \u201ccollaborative leadership and deep ties to the cultural fabric of Polk County make him an ideal steward for the museum during this time,\u201d said Florida Southern College President Jeremy Martin in the news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful to be able to contribute even a small amount to the legacy of this amazing art institution,\u201d Ward said in the same release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He succeeds Alex Rich, the AGB\u2019s current executive director. In May, Rich announced<\/a> that he would depart at the end of June to take up a new role as the president and CEO of the Gibbes Museum of Art<\/a> in Charleston, South Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
