The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lakeland man for a robbery that occurred early Sunday morning, July 6, 2025.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 3:15 a.m., the 36-year-old victim was riding his bicycle past the residence at 1035 David Avenue when his bicycle bumped into the suspect’s trailer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

40-year old John Brasseur<\/strong>, AKA Skateboard John, ran out of the residence and attacked the victim, striking him multiple times on the face and head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brasseur then got on the victim’s bicycle and rode away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim had significant swelling on his head and eye, bruising, and a laceration near his eye. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were able to locate Brasseur Sunday evening and arrested him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was taken to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and booked-in on a charge of Robbery (F2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
