<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nI was contacted by a responsible colony caretaker earlier today. Seems he was contacted by Animal Control and told to stop feeding cats or he will be sued for damage to cars at a car lot next door. He has had over 20 cats spayed and neutered through a local non-profit. These cats are well fed, twice a day. The business owner was seen photographing the cats eating in his yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need protection for Community Cats here in Polk County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What kind of organization tells a person to stop feeding cats, and they\u2019ll go away. Where will they go??? There are restaurant dumpsters about a block away, but the cats will need to cross a busy 6 lane highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Polk County, are you ok with the way @Grady Judd is managing Polk County Animal Control?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Country Commissioners hold the keys to changing the ordinance to protect the cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join us and fight for these cats. Polk County is one of the highest kill counties in the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
