The work was initially scheduled to start a week prior but due to a conflict with the contractor, the date has been pushed back to start August 18, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"b1cdd0\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #b1cdd0;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"486\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lkhollingsworth.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57046 not-transparent\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lkhollingsworth.webp 500w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lkhollingsworth-300x292.webp 300w\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This essential maintenance is necessary due to sediment buildup resulting from&nbsp;Hurricane Milton. The project is expected to take approximately&nbsp;30 days, with work occurring&nbsp;Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ensure public safety during this operation, the following traffic impacts and closures will be in place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lake Hollingsworth Drive:<br>Frequent single-lane closures will occur between the\u00a0Yacht Club\u00a0and the\u00a0Hollingsworth Road Roundabout.
