I tried to help, but before I could even finish explaining to the officers inside, one who had just pulled in and another at the front desk sprang into action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They lifted his scooter, brought him inside, and let him plug in to recharge\u2014no hesitation, no questions asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They didn\u2019t have to. It wasn\u2019t a call for service.
