The May Day Strong Coalition is organizing over 2,000 events nationwide to reject the billionaire takeover of government and stand up for working people. This year, it\u2019s more than a barbecue- it\u2019s a fight for our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether you are a parent in Lakeland, a second-grade educator in Winter Haven, or a healthcare worker in Lake Wales, we are all under attack from billionaires and corporate elites who have bought off our politicians and rigged our system to crush working families like ours. These individuals have purchased our elected leaders, taken over government, and are working tirelessly to defund our schools, bankrupt Medicare and Medicaid, attack unions, and target immigrant families with fear and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The May Day Strong Coalition is spearheading over 2,000 coordinated actions nationwide to reject the billionaire agenda and build a country that puts working people first. Building on the series of mobilizations from Hands Off in April, May Day, No Kings, and Good Trouble, working people will come together to insist on fully funded schools, health care for all, and to defend against attacks on workers\u2019 rights, immigrant families, and Black and brown communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
