Salters joined Polk County as a Probation Program Manager in 2019, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in the criminal justice field. She began her career with the Leon County Clerk of Courts serving as a Deputy Clerk and Court Specialist before moving into probation services in 2004. Throughout her time with Leon County, Salters advanced through leadership roles in pretrial release, probation, drug and alcohol testing and court operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salters earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in criminal justice from Florida A&M University and completed her master\u2019s degree in business administration, minoring in public administration from Thomas University. She completed her public management certification with the Center for Public Management at Florida State University and is Lean Six Sigma certified.
