A Florida high school principal was arrested after deputies say he waited two weeks to report a 4-year-old\u2019s sexual abuse at a daycare run by his school.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), on May 9, the Special Victims Section began an investigation into the case of a 4-year-old who was inappropriately touched by a 16-year-old while at a daycare operated by Spoto High School in Riverview, Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators say the allegations were reported to the principal, 42-year-old Jazrick Haggins, in April; however, he failed to report the incident to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) or the authorities for two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haggins told investigators that he knew of the allegations but was conducting his own investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A warrant was issued for Haggins’ arrest, and he was taken into custody on Friday by the Lakeland Police Department and transported to Polk County Jail for a count of failure to report child abuse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
