Regarding my post about Humane Societies, SPCAs, and animal shelters desperately needing real oversight \u2014 I want everyone to understand something:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is NOT just a \u201cPinellas problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is NOT just one bad shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is NOT just one or two incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lake County, Lee County, Pinellas County, Orange County, Manatee County, and Polk County have ALL reached out to me \u2014 with the EXACT same stories, the same patterns, the same concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So no\u2026 we\u2019re not imagining this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No\u2026 we\u2019re not exaggerating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No\u2026 this is not \u201cdrama.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a real, statewide problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staffing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lack of transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revolving door of bad decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The refusal to be held accountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corruption that never gets addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And with more and more counties speaking up, it\u2019s becoming painfully clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida\u2019s animal welfare system has ZERO meaningful oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And animals are paying the price for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So here\u2019s what I\u2019m asking \u2014 and I need everyone to SHARE this widely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83d\udc49\" I want to find a young, hungry, smart, up-and-coming person in politics, public policy, government, or law\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83d\udc49\" Someone who wants to make a name for themselves\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83d\udc49\" Someone who wants a real project, a real cause, and a real opportunity to make a difference\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83d\udc49\" Maybe a college student, a recent graduate, even a senior student \u2014 someone who wants a groundbreaking issue to take on and champion.<\/p>\n\n\n

This could be the beginning of real change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could be their launchpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could be the moment someone steps up and says, \u201cEnough. We\u2019re fixing this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Share it everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Share it with students, teachers, political clubs, government programs, law students, activists \u2014 ANYONE who might know someone ready to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe \u2014 just maybe \u2014 this is the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
