What was previously known as Lakeland Brewing Co. is now the\nhome of Lakeland\u2019s first-ever food hall, set for a place where foodies and\nfamilies can indulge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owned by Sarah and Jonathan Bucklew, The Joinery is a\nstylish and modern artisan food hall and craft brewery in downtown Lakeland on\nMain St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a series of soft openings for their family, friends,\ncity entities (such as the Lakeland Economic Development Council) The Joinery\nopened its doors to the public (via a new soft opening) for the first time\ntoday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the makeover, the heart and soul of Lakeland Brewing\nCo. are still present as the logo remains on the ground just inside of what\u2019s\nbeen transformed into an eating patio for customers. That space was previously\nthe front entrance during the Lakeland Brewing Co. days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s really cool. I wanted to keep it because it\nreally speaks to what the building used to be,\u201d says Sarah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new front door for The Joinery is on the side of the\nbuilding for easier access from the parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When first walking into the building, patrons are met with a\nbright and open U-shaped selection of seven vendors that sell a variety of\ngoodies from florals to coffee, small gourmet plates, sushi, pizza, and ice\ncream. The front area is complete with a directory to help customers navigate\nthrough all The Joinery has to offer as there\u2019s certainly something for\neveryone including picky eaters and kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah predicts that one of the favorites will be the s\u2019 mores kits topped with gourmet marshmallows. Those s\u2019mores can be enjoyed in the fire pit area outdoors, which has a clear view of trains rolling through downtown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Joinery has come a long way since the Bucklew’s first leased the space in September 2018. It now also touts a full bar, large garage windows for a scenic view, and pays homage to vintage Florida with decorative breeze blocks used to separate a small eating area from a space designated for ordering and waiting for food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area also includes a large dining space that easily sits\n100, making The Joinery a potential commodity for venue rentals hosting large\ncrowds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary artwork displayed also features oversized\npostcards of some of Florida\u2019s most notable spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s clear Sarah and Jonathan have thought of nearly\neverything with The Joinery\u2019s concept, even the bathrooms as Sarah proudly says\neach is uniquely designed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staying true to the brewery-style venue, The Joinery is\ncomplete with a row of supersized brewing containers on the back of the wall\nbehind the bar, giving customers a behind-the-scenes look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chatter around the highly-anticipated opening has already made The Joinery a Lakeland hot spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
