The Walk will immediately follow.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHERE:&nbsp;<\/strong>Bonnet Springs Park, 400 Bonnet Springs Blvd., Lakeland&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NEWS:&nbsp;<\/strong>The 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer\u2019s Polk County offers a great opportunity to report various Alzheimer\u2019s-related storylines and the disease\u2019s impact on residents, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Phyllis Cole, living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) due to Alzheimer\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Husband and wife Ross and Renee Garcia, whose fathers both have Alzheimer\u2019s.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida has the second largest number of people living with the disease in the U.S., with over 580,000 residents estimated to have the progressive brain disease. More than 870,000 unpaid caregivers provide 24\/7 support for a loved one living with Alzheimer\u2019s.
