Though not from Polk County, Murray has a connection to&nbsp;Florida Poly President Devin Stephenson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Murray has served in the same role since 2018 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, the school that Stephenson led before being appointed as president of Florida Poly in 2024.
